Abstract: Disclosed is a system (200) for capturing a desired event. The system (200) includes a memory (204) and at least one processor (202). The processor (202) receives a user prompt indicating the desired event to be captured in a real-time media stream, generates first visual features corresponding to the prompt, generates second visual features corresponding to the stream, correlates the first visual features with the second visual features of a current frame in the stream, determines whether the current frame represents the desired event based on the correlation. If no, the processor (202) predicts an estimated time until the desired event appears in the stream, predicts a target frame per second (FPS) for the stream based on the prediction, and applies the target FPS to a camera for capturing the desired event in the real-time media stream. If yes, the processor (202) captures, using the camera, the current frame.
