Abstract: A Memory Foam-Based Dental Mouth Prop with an Integrated Suction Tip ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a dental mouth prop designed to maintain adequate mouth opening while providing continuous moisture control during dental procedures. The device comprises a bite block fabricated from medicalgrade memory foam-based material, configured to adapt to the occlusal anatomy of the patient and distribute occlusal forces uniformly. The bite surface includes a zig-zag interlocking pattern to enhance stability and prevent slippage between opposing teeth. The mouth prop further incorporates a tapered wedge-shaped design with ergonomic angulation to facilitate easy insertion and reduce strain on the temporomandibular joint. An integrated suction tip is positioned adjacent to the bite block for continuous evacuation of saliva, blood, and irrigating fluids, thereby maintaining a dry operative field. The invention combines mouth opening and suction functionality into a single device, reducing instrument crowding, improving operator efficiency, and enhancing patient comfort. The device is particularly useful in operative dentistry, oral surgery, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, and special-care dentistry.
