Abstract: A method for wireless communications at a wireless device that is coupled with an aerial vehicle, comprising: transmitting, via the wireless device to a network entity of a public land mobile network (PLMN), a registration request message, the registration request message comprising a network identifier for the wireless device, an aerial identifier for the aerial vehicle, and an identifier associated with an aerial function management system external to the PLMN, wherein the network identifier is associated with a subscription for aerial communication services provided by the PLMN, wherein the aerial identifier is unique to the aerial vehicle and is associated with the aerial function management system, and wherein the network entity comprises one of an access and mobility management function (AMF) or session management function (SMF) of the PLMN; receiving a session establishment response message from the network entity based at least in part on the registration request message, wherein the session establishment response message is configured to trigger an establishment of a data session; and establishing the data session for the aerial communication services with the PLMN based at least in part on validation of the subscription for the aerial communication services by the PLMN and receiving the session establishment response message
