MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631109144 A) filed by Arijit Mondal; and Jyotsna Mondal on September 11, 2026, for A Mechanical Force And Torque Transmission Apparatus And System Having A Multi-Pin Crank Mechanism.

Inventor includes Arijit Mondal.

The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a mechanical power transmission apparatus (1) configured to provide a rotary-to-reciprocating-to-rotary transmission path. The apparatus comprises an input spur gear (2) operatively engaged with an intermediate spur gear (3) carrying first and second pairs of crank pins (15, 16, 17, 18), each pair being substantially 180° opposed and the pairs being angularly offset by approximately 90°. Lower and upper reciprocating rods (7, 8) are sequentially actuated by the respective crank-pin pairs along substantially linear horizontal paths. The rods are operatively coupled to eccentric crank pins (13, 14) provided on respective crank discs (4, 5) and arranged substantially 180° out of phase. The crank discs (4, 5), output spur gear (6), and common crank shaft (19) cooperate to reconvert the reciprocating movement into rotary output motion, thereby providing coordinated mechanical power transmission between a rotary drive source and a driven load.
