The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to magnetically shielded Hall Effect Thruster (100) for electric propulsion. The thruster (100) comprises a base cover (1), an acceleration channel (3) defining an annular discharge region, a gas distribution assembly (4) configured to axially deliver propellant, an anode assembly including an anode plate (40), and a magnetic circuit including magnetic field generating elements (20, 30) and pole pieces (2, 21). A flow conditioning member (7) ensures uniform propellant distribution within the acceleration channel (3). The gas distribution assembly (4) is electrically referenced to the base cover (1), while the anode assembly is electrically insulated, preventing exposure of propellant flow path to high voltage. The magnetic circuit is configured to shape magnetic field lines within the acceleration channel (3) to establish low magnetic electron temperature region along wall surfaces thereof, thereby reducing sheath potential and ion bombardment, minimizing erosion, and enhancing operational life.
