Abstract: ABSTRACT A MACHINE LEARNING BASED SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CUSTOMER CHURN PREDICTION AND RETENTION MANAGEMENT The present invention discloses a machine learning based customer churn prediction system (100) comprising a data acquisition interface (105), a data preprocessing module (110), a feature engineering component (120), a predictive analytics engine (130), and a retention management module (140). The system receives heterogeneous customer data from multiple sources including transaction databases, demographic databases, engagement metrics repositories, and customer service databases. The data preprocessing module performs cleaning, transformation, and encoding operations. The feature engineering component generates domain-specific, behavioral, and temporal features. The predictive analytics engine employs logistic regression with a coefficient interpretation unit providing interpretable feature importance rankings. The retention management module stratifies customers by risk level and generates personalized retention recommendations. The system is characterized by interpretability, computational efficiency, and integrated pipeline from data ingestion to retention strategy generation. [
