MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641109871 A) filed by Naga Sulochana M; and Dr. Ch. Krishnudu on September 13, 2026, for A Machine Learning-Based Risk Adaptive System For Optimizing Systematic Investment Plan Contributions.

Inventors include Naga Sulochana M; and Dr. Ch. Krishnudu.

The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: A machine learning-based risk adaptive system for optimizing Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) contributions is disclosed. The system comprises a data ingestion module for receiving multi-source financial data, a risk assessment engine implementing a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) architecture for feature extraction and a Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) with Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) units for temporal risk prediction, an adaptive optimization module implementing distributional reinforcement learning for determining optimal contribution adjustments, and a dynamic contribution scheduling engine for generating modified contribution schedules. The system continuously learns and adapts through a feedback loop that retrains machine learning models based on realized outcomes, providing improved risk-adjusted returns compared to conventional fixed-contribution SIP systems. Methods for dynamically adjusting SIP contributions using the disclosed system are also provided.
