Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a battery storage (100-1) system attached to a door (100) of a vehicle (600) and a method (200) of encapsulating the battery storage (100-1) in a door (100) of the vehicle (600). The door (100) includes the door frame (101) houses one or more battery cells (102) to form a battery storage (100-1). The door (100) can be a luggage compartment or bottom-type door for a three-wheeled electric vehicle (600). Temperature sensors (105) and a battery management system (BMS) (106) are incorporated within the door frame (101) to monitor and regulate battery cell temperatures. The battery cells (102) are protected by a layer (103) and interconnected to deliver power to the vehicle (600). The door (100) further includes provisions for cable management and connection to the vehicle's power system (VPS) (600-2).
