Abstract: The present invention relates to a load bearing structure (100) for a wheel inner house panel (110) to absorb loads transmitting from a rear seat of a vehicle, which includes a base (130) that defines a horizontal edge (130-A) and at least two angled edges (130-B1, 130-B2) extending from opposite ends (X, Y) of the horizontal edge (130-A) to define an apex (130-C) at intersection of the at least two angled edges (130-B1, 130-B2). A flange (150) extending vertically away from a first angled edge (130-B1) of the base (130), so that the horizontal edge (130-A) and the at least two angled edges (130-B1, 130-B2) define a triangular shape. The load bearing structure (100) ensures that loads transmitting from rear seat of the vehicle towards the wheel house inner panel (110) are absorbed, thereby avoiding distortion or damage of the same.
