Abstract: A liposomal formulation for improved drug stability is disclosed. The formulation comprises a drug reservoir core enclosed by a lipid bilayer membrane, a sterol stabilizing region, a surface protective layer, a buffered external phase, and an antioxidant and chelating stabilizer system. A cryoprotective matrix may be included for dried presentations, and a compatible dosage container interface may reduce storage related degradation. The formulation maintains vesicle integrity, reduces drug leakage, limits oxidative or hydrolytic degradation, and supports reproducible pharmaceutical administration.
