Inventor includes Afreen Fatima Mohammed.
The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: The IoT enabled Healthcare sector employs a network of connected devices, which deals with sensitive and confidential patient health related data. IoT integrated medical imaging devices are often referred as intelligent medical imaging devices, which collects and transfers patients health related data to medical practitioners for diagnosis concerns. Security is a major characteristic that need to be provided, when developing an IoT-based healthcare system. Medical imaging devices such as X-ray, CT scanner, MRI scanner machines can be embedded with cryptography algorithms, so that the security can be provided to diagnosed images prior to retrieval by the medical practitioner, thereby leveraging security to the medical images generated by these intelligent medical imaging devices. A lightweight encryption framework is proposed for medical images to provide privacy, confidentiality and authenticity, there by providing security to the medical images. The proposed framework applies a Lightweight Advanced Encryption Standard(AES) algorithm in CBC mode of schema.
