Abstract: The invention belongs to the technical field of industrial storage tank monitoring and lightning protection safety technology, and relates to a lightning protection type mechanical content indicator for a storage tank, comprising a rotating shaft, a balancing device, and a floating device arranged in the storage tank, wherein the floating device is connected with the rotating shaft through a connecting rope and applies a pulling force to the rotating shaft, the height of the floating device moves up and down with the change of the content of the storage tank, and the floating device drives the rotating shaft to rotate through the connecting rope; the balancing device is connected with the rotating shaft and is used for balancing the stress of the rotating shaft; a mechanical dial plate is arranged on the rotating shaft, and the angular displacement of the rotating shaft is converted into the display of the content of the storage tank through the mechanical dial plate. The mechanical content indicator in the invention does not require external power supply, ensures that the operator can understand the medium capacity in the storage tank for emergency operation under the condition of power failure, and remotely transmits the tank position information through an explosion-proof signal converter, which is convenient for remote monitoring and prevents the piston from hitting the top or bottom.
