The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT “A LIGHTING CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ADAPTIVE PHOTOMETRIC AND MELANOPIC OPTIMISATION IN WORKSTATION ENVIRONMENTS” A lighting control system (100) and method (200) for a workstation environment is disclosed. The system comprises a multi-channel solid-state light source having at least two independently drivable emitter channels, an input interface (102) for receiving workstation condition data and user profile data, a memory unit (108), a processing unit (121), and an output interface (106). The processing unit implements an AI inference and decision engine (1086) to generate a unified environmental and user model, determine an estimated eye position, compute a mEDI target, and determine photometric targets including maintained illuminance, illuminance uniformity, and glare control. The engine estimates a current spectral power distribution of the light source from accumulated operating time and operating temperature and adjusts the relative drive of the emitter channels to simultaneously satisfy the mEDI target and the photometric targets, maintaining the mEDI at the estimated eye position notwithstanding spectral ageing of the light source.
