Abstract: A LIFTING SYSTEM FOR AN INDUSTRIAL ROBOT AND A METHOD THEREOF The disclosure herein relates to a lifting system (100) for an industrial mobile robot (10) and a method (300) of operating the lifting system (100). The lifting system (100) includes a base (102), a scissor guiding assembly (104), a cam lifting assembly (106), at least one lifting platform (108), and at least one actuator (112). The cam lifting assembly (106) facilitates initial lift while moving the lifting platform (108) from a retracted position to an extended position after which the scissor guiding assembly (104) extends to guide the lifting platform (108) to a maximum stroke. The system (100) provides substantially constant lifting force throughout the stroke length of the system (100) and provides a maximum stroke length that is substantially equal to the closed height of the system (100). The system (100) prolongs service life of the actuator and improves the operating efficiency of the industrial mobile robot. FIG. 1
