Abstract: The present invention relates to an intelligent layout-aware system (100) and a computer-implemented method for adaptive extraction, structuring, and validation of data from Portable Document Format (PDF) files into structured spreadsheet formats. The system comprises an ingestion and pre-processing module (101), a spatial character mapping unit (102), and a structural analysis engine (103) for identifying tabular structures based on spatial and visual cues. A virtual coordinate grid generator (104) maps PDF coordinates to spreadsheet indices, while a header detection and schema locking module (105) preserves column consistency. Extracted data is populated through a data extraction layer (106) and verified using a validation engine (107). An adaptive noise filtering module (108) removes non-data artifacts, and an output generation module (109) exports validated data. The invention operates without pre-defined templates, preserving semantic hierarchy across single-page and multi-page documents (110).
