Abstract: A seating unit (100) of a vehicle is disclosed. The seating unit (100) includes a seat body (102) and a second body (104). A lateral isolation system (200) is interposed 5 between the seat body (102) and the second body (104). The lateral isolation system (200) includes a first plate (202) positioned proximate to the seat body (102), a second plate (204) positioned proximate to the second body (104), and a locking plate (208) mounted to the first plate (202). The second plate (204) defines a plurality of recesses (206), and the locking plate (208) defines a plurality of teeth 10 (210). The plurality of teeth (210) of the locking plate (208) is selectively connectable to the plurality of recesses (206) of the second plate (204) to lock the lateral isolation system (200). [Figure 2]
