Abstract: ABSTRACT [0017] Rural job seekers frequently face difficulty in locating suitable employment because information about government schemes is scattered across many platforms and existing digital portals demand skills or connectivity that many rural users do not possess. The present invention discloses a knowledge-based framework for enhancing rural employment opportunities. The framework collects employment data from schemes such as MGNREGA, PMKVY and e-Shram and stores it in a unified knowledge base. A user supplies only basic details—education, skills and geographical location—through a simple interface. Predefined knowledge rules then match these details against the stored job records, while a location filter prioritises opportunities that are nearby. The resulting recommendations are presented in a clear, structured list that includes job title, required skills, wage information, work duration and the originating government scheme. Because the system relies on transparent rule-based reasoning rather than complex algorithms and operates with minimal computational resources, it can be deployed effectively on inexpensive devices and in areas with limited network infrastructure. Experimental evaluation confirms reliable recommendation performance together with simplicity and ease of use, thereby improving access to employment information and supporting inclusive socio- economic development in rural communities.
