Abstract: ABSTRACT A high-pressure common rail 100 for a hydrogen powered vehicle is described. The high-pressure common rail 100 comprises a rail main body 110 containing a fuel passageway 120 that allows for a flow of hydrogen fuel from a hydrogen fuel tank to a plurality of hydrogen fuel injectors, and a rail inlet connector 130 secured to the rail main body 110. The rail inlet connector 130 is adapted to channel pressurized fuel from the hydrogen fuel tank to the rail main body 110. A leading edge 140 of the rail inlet connector 130 is machined such that a tip of the leading edge 140 of the rail inlet connector 130 is in contact with an inner wall of the fuel passageway of the rail main body 110 such that point contact is maintained between the rail main body 110 and the rail inlet connector 130.
