Abstract: Title: “A HYBRID POWERTRAIN FOR A VEHICLE” ABSTRACT The present disclosure discloses a power split device (200) a hybrid powertrain (100). The power split device (200) and an input shaft (3) from an engine (20). The power split device includes a generator rotor (4) and a housing (5). The generator rotor is configured 5 to generate electric energy for charging a battery. The housing is integrated with and co-axially disposed with the generator rotor. The housing includes a first portion (5a) accommodated within an enclosure (22) and second portion (5b) extending out of the enclosure of the generator motor. Further, the power split device includes a transmission mechanism (201) accommodated in the housing. The transmission mechanism is driven 10 by the input shaft. Further, the transmission mechanism is configured to split power from the input shaft in a predetermined proportion for a differential (15) associated with the hybrid powertrain, and for generator rotor for generating electric energy.
