Abstract: A HYBRID NEURO-EMOTION DETECTION SYSTEM INTEGRATING EEG SPECTRAL FUSION AND EXPLAINABLE AI FOR MENTAL STATE PROFILING A hybrid neuro-emotion detection system integrates electroencephalography (EEG) spectral fusion and explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) for real- time mental state profiling. The system processes raw signals via a preprocessing module executing artifact removal, bandpass filtering, normalization, and segmentation. A multi-domain feature extraction pipeline captures time-domain, frequency-domain, and connectivity-based measures, transforming cleaned brainwave signals into time-frequency matrices. A hybrid neural network combining Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (Bi- LSTM) layers processes these matrices to extract complex spatial and temporal characteristics for emotional classification into discrete states including calm, stress, sadness, and happiness. Transparent clinical verification is achieved via an explainable AI layer utilizing SHAP or LIME frameworks. Furthermore, a personalization module applies transfer learning and continuous user feedback loops to adapt dynamically to individual neural variability, enabling deployment across wearable headsets, cloud architectures, and mobile communication platforms.
