Srinath on June 26, 2026, for A Hybrid Nanocomposite Material And Method Thereof For Lightweight Structural Applications..
Inventors include K. Dileep; A. Srinath; and N. R. Banapurmath.
The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to hybrid nanocomposite material and a method thereof for lightweight structural applications. The material comprises a polymer matrix reinforced with multiple nanoscale fillers including graphene nanoplatelets, silicon dioxide nanoparticles, carbon nanotubes, nano clay particles, ceramic nanoparticles, or combinations thereof. A controlled dispersion and optimization methodology is employed to achieve uniform filler distribution and enhanced interfacial bonding. The resulting nanocomposite exhibits improved mechanical strength, impact resistance, fatigue life, thermal stability, and fracture toughness while maintaining low density. The invention is suitable for lightweight structural applications in automotive, aerospace, marine, renewable energy, defense, and industrial sectors.
