MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621098306 A) filed by Prasad Manoj Sant; and Samiksha Kantilal Kokate on August 13, 2026, for A Hybrid Iot-Ai System For Autonomous Management Of Indoor Hydroponic And Aeroponic Plant Cultivation.

Inventors include Prasad Manoj Sant; and Samiksha Kantilal Kokate.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a hybrid IoT-AI system and method for the autonomous management, predictive microclimate optimization, and fault-tolerant control of indoor hydroponic and aeroponic plant cultivation. The system includes a multi-parametric sensing layer, an edge computing gateway (Raspberry Pi 5), a multi-model AI processing layer running locally on the edge controller, and an actuation layer connected to environmental and nutrient relays. By synthesizing a Deep Q-Network (DQN) reinforcement learning agent for closed-loop actuator control, an LSTM network for microclimate time-series forecasting, an XGBoost regressor for yield prediction, a ResNet backed YOLO model for visual plant disease detection, and an Autoencoder neural network for unsupervised sensor anomaly detection, the system shifts indoor farming from reactive, rule-based operations to a proactive, self-optimizing state.
