Abstract: ABSTRACT A HYBRID ARIMA–RANDOM FOREST SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ECG-BASED CARDIAC ARRHYTHMIA CLASSIFICATION AND RISK SCORING The present invention discloses a system (100) and method for electrocardiogram (ECG) based cardiac arrhythmia classification and risk scoring. An ECG acquisition unit (102) acquires the ECG signal, which a pre-processing module (106) denoises and normalises. A feature extraction module (108) segments heartbeats and extracts RR-interval, morphology, mean and variance features. An ARIMA time-series module (110) tests stationarity, selects the order (p, d, q), fits the model, forecasts the heartbeat series and computes residuals and a per-beat risk score. A feature fusion module (120) combines the extracted and ARIMA-derived features, and a Random Forest classifier module (122) classifies each beat by majority voting into Normal, Atrial or Ventricular classes. The output unit (124) reports the class with the risk score. The invention captures both linear temporal and non-linear morphological ECG patterns and is suitable for wearable, remote and clinical cardiac monitoring.
