MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611070930 A) filed by Noida International University on June 08, 2026, for A Highly Efficient Electrical Vehicle Horizontal Wind Turbine To Charge Installed Battery At Running Stage.
Inventor includes Dr. Vimal Bibhu.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT The sustainable source of the energy generation is one of the best energy which does not impact environment by anyway. Charging the electric vehicle equipped battery at home or at the high speed charging stations are costly and needs times. This is a big issue with the electric vehicle when it is required to run vehicle for a long distance. In this invention, a small horizontal wind turbine is modelled and designed to fix it in the front of the vehicle to generate the direct current and charge the vehicle battery when vehicle is at running stage to the forward direction. The installation of the horizontal wind turbine depends on the size of the electric vehicle. In case of car the 2 to 3 horizontal wind turbines of 0.5 KWH capacity can be fitted at the front body but, in big electric vehicles such as trucks, buses etc, 3 to 5 wind turbines can be fitted having each of capacity of 1 KWH. This designed system does not eliminates the requirement of charge at home or charging points, but enhance the distance coverage upto 40 to 60% as per the electric vehicle model specification by the manufacturer for total distance covered with single full charge of the battery of vehicle.
