MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511017378 A) filed by Minda Corporation Limited on February 27, 2025, for A High-Voltage (hv) Connector For A Power Distribution Unit.

Inventors include Sharma Mayank; Afroz Nishat; and Nimbolkar Rupesh.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a high-voltage (HV) connector (100) constructed for use in a power distribution unit (PDU) (200) in high-voltage applications. The HV connector (100) comprises a busbar (102) for power distribution, a ring terminal (104) positioned over the busbar (102) to establish an electrical connection, and a fastening means (106) securing the ring terminal (104) to the busbar (102). At least one wire (108) is connected to the ring terminal (104) for power transmission, while a connector element (110) is mounted on the busbar (102). The entire assembly is enclosed within a housing (112). To enhance environmental resistance, at least one sealing member (114, 116) is positioned between the connector element (110) and the housing (112), forming a sealed enclosure. Additionally, a cover seal (120) provides an extra layer of protection. The HV connector (100) is compact, vibration-resistant, and aimed for tool-free assembly using a snap-lock mechanism.
