MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611069199 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Delhi on June 02, 2026, for A High-Strength Concrete Composition And A Method For Producing The Same.

Inventors include Gupta, Supratic; and Panda, Soumyaranjan.

The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: A method for producing a high-strength concrete composition includes collecting fly ash from a coal-based thermal power plant. The method includes subjecting the collected fly ash to a controlled low-energy mechanical grinding in a ball mill operating at a pre-defined rotational speed for a pre-defined grinding duration to obtain ground fly ash having enhanced fineness and increased pozzolanic reactivity. The method includes determining an efficiency factor of the ground fly ash based on compressive strength of the concrete composition. The method includes determining an effective water-to-cement ratio, based on the determined efficiency factor. The method includes preparing the concrete composition incorporating the activated fly ash at a replacement level of up to 60% of a total amount of a cementitious material in the concrete composition, based on the efficiency factor. The prepared concrete composition achieves a reduction in a cement content of up to 100 Kg/m3.
