Abstract: This project presents an innovative method for identifying non-zero positive roots of nonlinear transcendental equations. The approach combines the inverse tangent function with the Newton–Raphson method. It is implemented in Python and evaluated across various problem models to showcase its effectiveness. A series of numerical experiments have been performed, and the results suggest that the proposed method is superior and more efficient than many traditional techniques. The validity of the approach is further confirmed through error analysis, and the method's convergence is demonstrated to be quadratic.
