MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641080682 A) filed by Infinity Arsenal Private Limited on June 30, 2026, for A High-Current Redundant Power Changeover System With Thermal- Electrical Output For Uav'S.
Inventors include Dr. M. Sundararaj; and Mr. Ramakrishna Madhira.
The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: An automatic power redundancy system for tethered and heavy-lift UAVs designed to ensure uninterrupted power to Flight Controllers and BLDC motors. The invention features a novel electro-mechanical assembly where the output terminals of the switching semiconductors are mechanically bolted to an electrically isolated, conductive heatsink, thereby bypassing the current limitations of standard 35-micron copper PCB traces. The system reinforces input paths with auxiliary metallic leads and utilizes the heatsink as the common output node for currents up to and exceeding 50A. Operational between 12V to 1000V, the circuit provides seamless changeover ( 10ms) via optoisolated gate logic. Secondary subsystems include a Form B solid-state relay for driving external failure annunciators and a telemetry interface for real-time thermal and cooling fan diagnostics.
