Abstract: ABSTRACT “A HERBAL LIP BALM COMPOSITION AND A PROCESS FOR PREPARATION THEREOF” The present invention relates to a herbal lip balm composition and a process for preparation thereof. The composition comprises Shata Dhauta Ghrita, beeswax, coconut oil, castor oil, carrot seed oil, Vitamin E, and beetroot-infused oil blended to obtain a stable and multifunctional herbal lip care formulation. Shata Dhauta Ghrita is prepared through repeated washing of cow ghee with purified water to obtain a smooth and soft Ayurvedic base material suitable for cosmetic application. The formulation provides moisturizing, soothing, antioxidant, healing, and mild photoprotective benefits together with natural coloration and acceptable spreadability. The process comprises preparation of Shata Dhauta Ghrita, melting of beeswax, incorporation of oils and antioxidants, blending of natural colorant, homogenization, filling, and solidification. The invention provides a natural and Ayurvedic alternative to conventional synthetic lip care products suitable for cosmetic and personal care applications.
