Abstract: The present invention discloses a multifunctional, synergistic herbal digestive salt composition and a method for its preparation, designed to support comprehensive gastrointestinal health, normalize gastric secretions, enhance enzyme action, and alleviate functional digestive issues such as bloating, gas, and acidity without synthetic side effects. The composition comprises a scientifically balanced ratio of therapeutic mineral salts and plant-derived bioactive components, explicitly combining white coarse salt, black salt, rock salt, cumin, coriander, dry red chilli, dry ginger powder, asafoetida (Ferula asafoetida), black pepper, powdered sugar, green cardamom, clove, ammonium chloride, long pepper (Piper longum), carom seeds, fennel seeds, and dry gooseberry powder. The preparation method involves dry-roasting select spices for 1–2 minutes to activate volatile essential oils and eliminate moisture, cooling the roasted spices to room temperature, grinding them into a fine powder, and blending them with the remaining salts, sugar, and herbal powders into a uniform matrix. The resulting composition features a moisture content of 15%, a high mineral ash content, and a stable functional group profile containing essential trace minerals and bioactives (such as piperine, gingerol, and eugenol) that ensure long-term shelf stability, high bioavailability, and exceptional gastroprotective properties.
