MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511015655 A) filed by Birla Institute Of Technology & Science Bits, Pilani on February 22, 2025, for A Herbal Anti-Psoriatic Composition, And A Method Of Preparation Thereof.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an herbal anti-psoriatic composition for treating skin disorders including psoriasis and to a method of preparing said herbal anti- psoriatic composition. Specifically, the herbal anti-psoriatic composition comprises a mixture of ground powders, extracts, and oils from such species of plants as: Psoralea corylifolia L. (Seed), Azadirachta indica A.Juss. (Fresh Leaf), Pongamia pinnata (L.) Pierre (Fresh Leaf), Sesamum indicum L. (Seed Oil), Wrightia tinctoria R.Br. (Fresh Leaf decoction), Benincasa hispida (Thunb.) Cogn. (fresh fruit juice). Said herbal anti-psoriatic composition is a natural, safe, and effective topical treatment for psoriasis, and alleviates symptoms such as scaling, inflammation, itching, and dryness while promoting skin healing and regeneration.
