Abstract: The present invention relates to a helmet with ignition control and fatigue detection for rider safety. The system comprises a standard safety helmet embedded with an infrared (IR) eye-blink sensor, a microcontroller, a transmitter, a receiver, a buzzer, and a power source. The IR sensor continuously monitors the user’s eye movements to detect signs of fatigue, such as prolonged eye closure or abnormal blinking. The microcontroller processes this data and triggers a buzzer to provide real-time alerts upon detecting drowsiness. Simultaneously, the transmitter in the helmet communicates with the vehicle-mounted receiver to enable ignition only when the helmet is properly worn, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The system is compact, lightweight, and operates autonomously using a 9V battery. Designed for motorcyclists, delivery drivers, industrial workers, and personnel in high-risk environments, the smart helmet reduces fatigue-related accidents, improves road safety, and provides a proactive wearable safety solution.
