MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541028904 A) filed by Mahindra & Mahindra Limited on March 26, 2025, for A Height Adjustable Seat Belt Module.

Inventors include Venkata Ganesh Atmakuru; Kinthala Nareen Kumar; Phani Kumar Kakani; Kale Sagar; and Srivatsa Vani Prasanna Sriperumbudur.

Abstract: Disclosed height adjustable seat belt module (100) mountable on a pillar part (101) of a vehicle. Said height adjustable seat belt module (100) comprises a seat belt assembly. The height adjuster unit (104) comprise a cushioning unit (106) at a bottom region (107) wherein said cushioning unit (106) is adapted to glide through one or more locking ribs (201, 203) provided on the pillar (101) to limit the motion of the height adjuster unit (104) thereby reducing the rattling effect in the vehicle. With such key features, the height adjuster gets locked at a desired position during fitment and post assembly the cushioning unit (106) starts absorbing the noise while moving it down.
