Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a heating apparatus (100) for a cooking system (200). The heating apparatus (100) includes a ceramic base (110) having an elevated peripheral portion (110-1). A lateral surface (110-2) is disposed between the elevated peripheral portion (110-1) and adapted to define a channel (110-3) thereon. A heating element (120) is adapted to accommodate inside the channel (110-3). A heat-conducting plate (130) is disposed laterally on the elevated peripheral portion (110- 1) and adapted to cover the heating element (120). The heat-conducting plate (130) is adapted to form a gap (G) between the lateral surface (110-2) and the heat- conducting plate (130), for transmitting heat from the heating element (120) to the heat-conducting plate (130), through the gap (G). The heating apparatus (100) and the cooking system (200) disclosed herein help in overcoming dependency of operating cooking systems by combustible fuels, therefore helping safeguard environment.
