MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631093494 A) filed by Dr. Sujoy Mukherjee; Dr. Yogesh Kumar; and Mrs. Tarunima Mukherjee on August 01, 2026, for A Hardware-Enforced Data Acquisition System And Method For Screening Sperm Dna Fragmentation.
Inventors include Dr. Sujoy Mukherjee; and Dr. Yogesh Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: A HARDWARE-ENFORCED DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SCREENING SPERM DNA FRAGMENTATION The present invention relates to a hardware-enforced point-of-care (POC) biomedical screening system and method for non-diagnostic assessment of sperm DNA fragmentation (DFI) risk. The system comprises an input acquisition module, an embedded processing module, a memory module storing computational models and an offline environmental database, an environmental correlation module, a computational engine, a risk stratification module, a reporting module, a user interaction module, a thermal printing module, and a data storage module. The embedded processing module is configured to process physiological, anthropometric, lifestyle, pathological, demographic, geographical, and environmental parameters to generate and classify a sperm DNA fragmentation risk score. The system performs data acquisition, computation, environmental correlation, report generation, display, printing, and storage entirely within the embedded hardware platform without dependence on laboratory imaging systems, cloud computing infrastructure, remote servers, or continuous internet connectivity. The invention provides secure, portable, real-time point-of-care screening with enhanced data privacy, operational reliability, and real-time screening platform suitable for decentralized healthcare settings.
