Abstract: ABSTRACT A HARDWARE-ASSISTED DESTINATION ADDRESSING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTONOMOUS AERIAL CARGO DELIVERY A Hardware-Assisted Destination Addressing System (100) and Method (200) For Autonomous Aerial Cargo Delivery are disclosed. The system (100) comprises a fixed destination node (102) configured to establish and maintain a persistent hardware-addressable destination identity, a communication unit (104) configured to communicate destination identification information, one or more processors (106), and an autonomous aerial vehicle (108). The one or more processors (106) obtain and determine the persistent hardware-addressable destination identity, correlate the identity with cargo destination information, identify and verify an intended delivery destination, and generate destination control information including positional alignment information and cargo delivery authorization information to enable destination- specific cargo delivery. The method (200) includes establishing (202), maintaining (204), communicating (206), obtaining (208), determining (210), correlating (212), identifying (214), verifying (216), generating (218), and enabling (220), wherein the persistent hardware-addressable destination identity provides a standardized hardware destination reference interoperably recognizable by autonomous aerial vehicles. FIG. 1 will be the reference figure.
