MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641083966 A) filed by Kwick Forensic Solutions Limited on July 08, 2026, for A Handheld Detection Device For Detecting Target Feature On A Target Surface.
Inventor includes Shammer Saralal Shah.
The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a handheld detection device (100) for detecting at least one target feature on a target surface. The handheld detection device comprises a housing accommodating an illumination module (112), an optical module (114), an image acquisition module (116), and a processing module (118). The illumination module selectively illuminates the target surface using light sources, while the optical module receives light reflected from the illuminated target surface. The image acquisition module acquires image data corresponding to the reflected light, and the processing module controls operation of the illumination module, receives the acquired image data, and processes image data to generate processed image data representative of the at least one target feature. The processed image data is displayed, stored, and communicated to an external device for documentation and further analysis. The handheld detection device enables rapid, non-destructive, and documentation of target features using selectable illumination and image processing. FIG. 1
