MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641092803 A) filed by Aditya University on July 30, 2026, for A Guided Corner Fillet Forming Tool With Interchangeable Profile Plates And Method Of Operation.
Inventors include Dr. Basireddi Rambabu; and Balla Sujiya.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure proposes a guided corner fillet forming tool (100) incorporating interchangeable radius plates for guided formation of corner fillets on workpieces (10), thereby facilitating accurate and repeatable corner fillets, enabling controlled material removal, preventing over-cutting, and improving dimensional consistency. The corner fillet forming tool (100) comprises a base frame (102), a profile plate (108), a roller (112), a clamp member (116), and a cover member (120). The corner fillet forming tool (100) facilitates controlled corner profiling through guided reciprocating movement while maintaining substantially uniform engagement between the roller (112) and the workpiece (10). The corner fillet forming tool (100) reduces dependency on user skill, minimizes material wastage, improves operational efficiency, enhances repeatability and output standardization, and produces substantially smooth corner fillets with minimal post-processing. The corner fillet forming tool (100) provides a compact, portable, center-independent, cost-effective, and manually operable solution suitable for workshop and semi-industrial corner profiling applications.
