Abstract: ABSTRACT A GRIPPER DEVICE FOR A ROBOTIC ARM The present invention relates to a gripper device (100) for robotic arms, designed for efficient material handling. The device comprises a drive system (10) with a brushless DC motor (12), an idler gear-based transmission system (14), and a pair of oppositely threaded drive shafts (16, 16’). A motion guide system (20, 20’) mounted on the drive shafts enables linear motion via a ball screw mechanism. Gripper units (30, 30’), consisting of connector members (32, 32’), adapters (34, 34’), and gripper arms (36, 36’), are mounted on the guide system for relative movement. A braking system (40), controlled by a control system (50), locks the device based on torque feedback provided by a sensing unit (18). The compact, precise design ensures optimal gripping force, adaptable to varying payloads, enhancing automation in industrial operations. Fig.1
