Abstract: The present invention relates to a graph-theoretic decision support system for dynamic urban traffic and emergency route optimization. The system represents an urban road network as a dynamic weighted graph comprising nodes representing intersections and edges representing road segments. Real-time traffic information, including congestion, vehicle density, travel time, road accessibility, and disruptions, is used to dynamically update edge weights. A graph-based optimization module determines suitable routes for general traffic and emergency vehicles. The system continuously evaluates changing road conditions and provides optimized or alternative routes, thereby supporting adaptive traffic management, efficient transportation, and improved emergency response.
