Abstract: The present invention relates to a glove for hand rehabilitation designed to assist and restore hand mobility in patients suffering from stroke, arthritis, neuromuscular disorders, post-injury stiffness, and age-related hand dysfunction. The glove integrates flex sensors and an inertial measurement unit (IMU) to continuously monitor finger bending, joint angles, and wrist motion. The collected data is processed by a microcontroller unit which generates real-time control signals for servo motors connected to a tendon-based actuation system, enabling controlled flexion and extension of fingers. A machine learning module analyzes historical and real-time movement data to dynamically adjust therapy parameters such as speed, range of motion, repetition, and intensity, providing personalized rehabilitation. The system supports passive, active-assistive, and resistance-based therapy modes with safety ensured through motion limits, force regulation, and emergency stop mechanisms. A companion application enables wireless monitoring, data visualization, and remote supervision, making the system suitable for both clinical and home-based rehabilitation applications.
