The glove box assembly (102) has a storage compartment (104) configured to be provided on a dashboard panel (120) of the vehicle (100). The storage compartment (104) is configured to accommodate one or more articles. The glove box assembly (102) further has a lid member (106) to be hingedly mounted on the storage compartment (104). The lid member (106) is configured to be operable between an open position and a closed position. The glove box assembly (102) has a locking assembly (108) provided on the lid member (106). The locking assembly (108) is configured to lock the lid member (106) with the storage compartment (104), thereby securing the one or more articles inside the storage compartment (104) of the glove box assembly (102).
