Abstract: ABSTRACT A GLAND CARTRIDGE FOR FACILITATING REPLACEMENT OF GLAND PACKING IN A CENTRIFUGAL PUMP The present disclosure envisages a gland cartridge (10) for facilitating replacement of gland packing (20) in a centrifugal pump (100) comprising a pump shaft (45), a shaft sleeve (75), a gland (15), and a stuffing box cavity (50) provided around the pump shaft (45). The gland cartridge (10) comprises a cylindrical body (11) configured to be removably nested within the stuffing box cavity (50) around the shaft sleeve (75), the body (11) defining at least one compartment (70) in an operative inner peripheral region thereof. The compartment (70) is configured to receive the gland packing (20). The gland cartridge (10) further comprises a plurality of release screws (30) mounted on the cylindrical body (11), wherein actuation of the release screws (30) disengages the gland cartridge (10) from the stuffing box cavity (50) to enable removal of the gland cartridge (10) together with the gland packing (20).
