MUMBAI, India, July 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641080613 A) filed by Jss Academy Of Higher Education And Research Jssaher on June 30, 2026, for A Geometry -Based Assessment System And Method For Identification Of First-Line Drug Of Choice.

Inventor includes Dr. M N Sumana.

The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT “A GEOMETRY-BASED ASSESSMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IDENTIFICATION OF FIRST-LINE DRUG OF CHOICE” The present invention relates to an angle-based educational assessment system and method for selection of drugs for a specific clinical conditions especially enteric fever and acute undifferentiated febrile illness using geometric positioning. The system comprises a printed display board (101) defining a geometric decision field and including a marked fixed geometric origin (A) with a vertical reference axis AB (102) and a horizontal reference axis CD (103), a movable marker E (104), a plurality of antimicrobial identifiers (105a, 105b, 105c, 105d) positioned at predetermined angular coordinates relative to said central reference (A), a protractor (106); and an instruction card (107) comprising at least one clinical scenario. The invention enables a user to determine an angular position corresponding to a selected antimicrobial agent and thereby assess guideline-based antimicrobial identification. The invention enables evaluation and reinforcement of guideline-based antimicrobial decision- making through geometric positioning and angular measurement.
