MUMBAI, India, June 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202431042319 A) filed by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited on May 31, 2024, for A Gas-To-Air Termination Module For Controlling The Electrical Stresses.

Inventors include Neelam Tiwari; Moutusi Paul; and Dr. Mandava Mohana Rao.

The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.

Abstract: The present invention is related to a gas-to-air termination module (01) comprising a gas insulated switchgear at one side and air insulated switchgear to the other side wherein, cylindrical or conically configured support body (02) encompassing around high voltage or high tension conductor (03) and end portion of the support body (02) is fixed on Top and bottom flange metal fittings (04, 05). The HT external shield (06), is mounted downside with reference to the top flange; and external low tension shield (07), which is mounted upwards from the ground terminal. Further, the said module comprising a high tension internal shield (10), a top cover (12), a low tension shield (11) wherein one of the end is integrated with low tension flange or metallic fitting (13), an epoxy insulator (15), e-field controlled shield (14), a gas insulated switchgear module (16).
