Abstract: A GAS-PURGING MODULE FOR A VESSEL CARRYING MOLTEN METAL Present disclosure relates to a gas-purging module (100) for a vessel (1) carrying molten metal. The gas-purging module (100) includes a dispersing element (2) which is disposable at least on, or in a base of the vessel (1). The dispersing element (2) is concentric to a teeming hole (3) defined therein. Further, the gas-purging module (100) includes a supply unit (4) which is fluidly connected to the dispersing element (2). The supply unit (4) is configured to deliver inert-gas to the dispersing element (2) at a pre-determined flow rate. Furthermore, the gas-purging module (100) includes a porous membrane (5) which is disposed in the dispersing element (2). The porous membrane (5) is configured to facilitate dispersion of bubbles of the inert- gas of pre-defined size at a controlled release rate, to form a curtain of the inert-gas at the teeming hole (3). Figure. 1 is a reference figure.
