MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621086645 A) filed by Vishwakarma Institute Of Technology on July 15, 2026, for A Gas Cylinder Safety Monitoring And Management System.

Inventors include Gulabani, Bhoomi Lakhmichand; Shinde, Bhakti Chandrakant; Mahangare, Prajakta Vishwajit; Birajdar, Ravina Shrishail; and Sable, Nilesh Popat.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: The present invention is related to a gas cylinder safety monitoring and management system, this intelligent AI and IOT-based gas cylinder safety monitoring and management system comprising a load cell-based weight identification unit (100, 101), multi-stage gas leakage sensors (102, 111), AI-powered lifecycle forecasting and analytics engine (107), digital identity module (109), automated gas cylinder expiry validation module (110), distribution optimization module (112), centralized dashboard interface (113), a cloud-based cylinder management and administration module (116), and autonomous emergency response unit (115). The system overfills are detected by real-time weight monitoring and refilling schedules are predicted based on consumption analysis, cylinder manufacturing and re-test validity are verified before delivery and preventive and active leakage detection mechanisms are provided. It also allows tracking of the cylinders and delivery staff safely and streamlining the vehicle distribution by predicting the logistics. The cylinder management and administration module (116) maintains centralized records of cylinder lifecycle, digital identity, distributor and delivery personnel, and compliance data for administrative control and operational management. The system will automatically shut down the gas supply through an electromagnetic solenoid shut-off valve (108) and give the user and relevant stakeholders notification in case of an emergency. The invention also improves the safety, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, secure authentication, and predictive supply management in a built-in cloud-based platform (106).
