Abstract: TITLE: A G SMART LEARNING SYSTEM FOR ASSESSING RESTORATIVE SKILLS IN DENTAL STUDENTS APPLICANT: DR. GHANTA SUNIL ABSTRACT The present invention discloses a G Smart Learning system for assessing restorative skills in dental students to repair damaged teeth. The system comprises of bar-coded typhodont tooth, a computing device, typhodont jaw set, a mannequin integrated to a Smart table, a high definition camera and a light emitting device. Firstly the bar-coded typhodont tooth is customized with unique identification and configured to be scanned by the computing device. Secondly the computing device embedded with barcode scanner software (G Smart App) is configured to scan the bar-code of the bar-coded typhodont tooth and entering name of student, teacher, tooth number, and type of exercise to repair damaged teeth in the computing device. Thirdly screwing the bar-coded typhodont tooth into the typhodont jaw set and fitting into the mannequin which is integrated to the Smart table. Fourthly allowing the student to perform the exercise of repairing damaged teeth to form a prepared tooth in which the high definition camera positioned above the table is configured to record the entire exercise. Fifthly capturing the prepared tooth employing the light emitting device and high definition camera which are integrated to the computing device and transferring the captured image to the computing device in which the computing device superimpose the captured image against standardized image established by international norms employing integrated algorithm and providing accurate measurement of the cavity's breadth, depth, and volumetric analysis. This process will provide rating to student's procedural performance skills and providing graph in form of a line diagram between the prepared tooth and the standardized norms thereby assessing restorative skills in dental students.
