Inventors include Dr. Vyavahare Pranav Prasad; Dr. Nistane Saurabh Vilas; Dr. Bhand Akshata Chandrakant; Dr. Vibhu Maurya; and Dr. Bhole Piyush Dilip.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a functional animal-feed composition comprising an enzyme-treated unconventional feed-resource fraction and a protected organic trace-mineral fraction. The unconventional feed resource is subjected to controlled treatment using one or more enzymes selected from cellulase, xylanase, beta- glucanase, mannanase, pectinase, protease, phytase and combinations thereof to modify structural polysaccharides, phytate-associated constituents and/or other nutritional limitations and thereby improve accessibility of nutrients within the feed-resource matrix. The composition further comprises trace minerals including zinc, iron, copper, manganese, cobalt, selenium, chromium and/or iodine associated with organic ligands and/or provided within a protective carrier or coating. The enzyme- treated feed-resource fraction and protected trace-mineral fraction are incorporated into a feed matrix containing conventional nutritional components and can be formed as mash, pellets, crumbles or extruded feed. The invention provides an integrated feed architecture for utilization of unconventional feed resources together with controlled organic trace-mineral delivery. FIG 01.
