Abstract: A FUEL FILLER HOUSING WITH DUAL LOCKING MECHANISMS The present disclosure relates to a fuel filler housing (100) with dual locking mechanism compatibility, designed to accommodate both mechanical and electrical locking systems within a single housing (1). The housing (1) features interchangeable inserts (4) that comprise a rectangular slot (6) for a mechanical plunger (7) and a circular slot (8) for an electrical actuator (9), allowing for seamless adaptation to various vehicle designs without requiring a complete redesign. The disclosure comprises hinge arms (10) specific to each locking mechanism type (5), with configurations for both electric actuator mechanisms (13) and mechanical plunger mechanisms (14). The lid/cap (12) is universally compatible with both configurations, ensuring a secure and watertight seal.
